I fancy myself a self-aware and emotionally intelligent individual so the ability to pinpoint the source for my distress came naturally as shared above. The thing is, I found no comfort in identifying my problem; what I really wanted was to be on the other side of it but I felt helpless.
You cannot fix a problem that you refuse to acknowledge. Margaret Heffernan
I'm uncertain as to exactly when and how things changed but they have and I'm grateful.
Everyone has challenges from time to time - no one is immune but how we deal with them will determine our level of success. A trusted friend, mentor or group will certainly come in handy should you find yourself in a situation like I found myself in recently.
I've observed that no matter how badly someone else is rooting for you, unless you want it (whatever "it" may be) for yourself and do something about it, you'll always be stuck. Whatever the challenge or issue, remember: "it", is not larger than YOU.
In the meantime...Give thanks. Eat clean. Sleep deep.
